About Kurt
Hello and welcome to Florida Landscaping Today.
First I would like to introduce myself. my name is Kurt Kmetz and I am a Florida Lawn and Ornamental Specialist. I live in Pinellas county Florida in the Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Clearwater area. I have over 15 years of experience in Florida Landscaping including Trees, Shrubs, Lawns, and Gardening.
For 10 years I have been a Lawn and Ornamental Technician working for local companies and have learned Fertilization, Pest Control, and all other areas in maintaining a Florida landscape. Prior to that, for 5 years I was a Garden Center Manager for a major retail chain and learned about all the different characteristics of the types of Plants, Shrubs, Trees, and Flowers used in Florida landscaping.
I have experience in Design and Installation of a Certified Florida Landscape and was taught by a Master Gardener from the local County Extension Service which is affiliated with University Of Florida. I have also attended seminars given by the Nursery Department at Walt Disney World in Orlando. It was simply amazing to see first hand how the beautiful grounds are designed, created and maintained.
I would love to pass on my experience and knowledge to help you with your landscaping needs, with tips and information I have learned and used over the years. I encourage you to be part of the beauty a successful Florida landscape can bring. It can be fun and rewarding for anyone of all ages.
