Water Restrictions For Southwest Florida

By Kurt On January 10, 2009 Under Florida Landscaping News

The Southwest Florida water management district (SWFW MD) just released the new modification on restrictions for watering lawns in the coming year 2009.

Portions of the District still did not receive enough rain during this summer’s rainy season and all of our water resources, such as rivers and lakes, have declined rapidly during the start of the dry season. Over the last three years, our rainfall deficit is about 27 inches and our water resources continue to be impacted. We have not seen recovery to pre-drought conditions and must continue to conserve water.
